Korean artist, Lee Najin and Japanese artist, Sayaka Iwashimizu present their own solo exhibitions both titled “TSUKIMI ", at Art Lab AKIBA and at Art Lab TOKYO.

Korea and Japan have a tradition of “TSUKIMI (literally moon-viewing)”.
Besides, we have a lot of traditions similar to each other.
It could be said that the cultural relationship between Korea and Japan is very close.
Perhaps it is because that these two countries had been influenced by Chinese culture during the ancient and the medieval ages.

This time the artists from these two countries develop their own works with the same theme, which is interesting.

In the autumn of last year, Iwashimizu and Lee held solo exhibitions at Zeinxeno  Gallery in Seoul .

There, Iwashimizu presented “Ano- Ko (That Girl)” series.
This time she also shows new pieces from the same series.
You might find some influence from Seoul in her new girls, which is also interesting.
